My husband and I really
enjoyed our City/Katrina tour with Don Hirstius. We really
appreciated his perspective as a native and the pride he
showed in his city. The tour was a great combination of
new and old, the preserved and destroyed. Don's sense of
humor and tidbits of information kept us listening intently
for the entire time. Great job!

Hi
Mike,
Don't know if you remember me but I was one of your passengers
on the tour you gave on a Sunday two weeks ago with my wife
and my daughter Cath in our little tourr group.
We really enjoyed our experience with you and thought that
you did a great job! Whenever we come back to New Orleans
we will give you a call and would love to see you again.
I also checked out your web site.
It was a very positive and fun experience spending time with
you Mike!
Sincerely,
Larry Cobb

Just want to send a note to thank you
for taking us on the tour of New Orleans on Thursday afternoon,
August 21, 2008. You were a great guide. Thank you for giving
us so much knowledge about your city. Now that we have had
time to look at our literature and discuss some of what
we saw and heard, there are more questions, but when we
have some extra time I know that we can find most of the
answers on line. Again, thank you for "showing and
telling" us so much about the peoples, culture, history
and plans for this unique city.

Celebration Tours
Subject: Commendation for Don Hirstius
On July 30, 2008, I and a few friends had the pleasure of
touring New Orleans on your bus guided by Don Hirstius. He
was a delight. His vast knowledge of New Orleans and his good
sense of humor made our excursion around the city a most memorable
one. I would recommend Celebration Tours to everyone. Please
extend our thanks to Don Hirstius for a tour well done.
Sincerely,
Sheryl T. Rock

Hi
Mike!
I am the woman for whom you drove specially back to the Westin
to return the black/gray beanie cap during the Sugar Bowl.
A long overdue MAHALO (thank you) for taking the time to do
that. It was not worth much in $ but it meant a lot to me
because I had hand stiched a beaded UH to it and also because
I was freezing in New Orleans!
We had a wonderful time in your fascinating city and you contributed
a lot to that. We learned a lot from you and it helped us
get an insiders view of Katrina that we would not have otherwise
known. I have been on many tours in my life and you were by
far one of the best we've ever had-informative, humorous and
philosophical!
Thanks again for going that extra step.
Aloha,

I
would like to thank you for the tour I took with you on
10-5-2007. It was really interesting to actually see where
Katrina had done so much devastation. It was really sad,
but, yet it was good to see that at least it is being rebuilt.
You did such a great job with all of your knowledge that
you made it really interesting for me.
Thanks again,
Janice

Ozzie,
I wanted to follow up with you and thank you for a great
job during our tour last Sunday. Roberta and I were very
impressed with your knowledge of, and obvious passion for
New Orleans.
I can’t tell you how moved I was by the devastation
in the 9th Ward and at the lake front. I was also quite
encouraged by the recovery effort, but at the same time
angry by the ineffective response of our government. I sent
an editorial letter to the Times/Picayune urging them to
figure out a way to remind the rest of the U.S. that there
is still a lot of need in the area, most importantly the
need for people like Roberta and I to visit and spend lots
of tourist dollars.
I wish you all the best as you work to rebuild your business
and urge you to continue to bang the drum about New Orleans.
I know we’ll be back!
PS: Thanks for returning Roberta’s sunglasses. Her
lifelong claim of never having lost anything remains intact.
All the best!

Mr.
Marino,
I just wanted to thank you for a great
tour of New Orleans in January during our Trex seminar.
I don't travel very often and the few
hours spent touring with you, gave us all the information
to explore the city after the tour. I am planning on bringing
my wife and another couple back for some history and shopping
Thank you again,
Matt Anderson

I
just wanted to say thanks for the great tour and information
on the Katrina Tour, 7/25/07. Although it brought up many
sad feelings for the people of New Orleans and Gulf Coast,
at the same time seeing the devastation first hand and the
determination of the citizens made me fully realize that
the heart, soul, and spirit of the wonderful people of New
Orleans has not been broken.
Thanks again. Keep up the good work, Ozzie.
